Saucer. Provenance: China. Dating: Late Kangxi period (1662-1722) early Yongzheng period (1723-1735). A saucer on a footring with a straight rim and a glazed base, decorated in underglaze blue. In the centre a "Courting Cranes" decoration with a crane in a garden looking to the sky where a bird displays while in flight. Round the interior rim a stylized laurel pattern band.
