Japanese ORIBE Oil Lamp & matching lid with impressed floral design on the shoulder,indented handle (to hang on a wall) & horse eye design inside the rounded base of the lamp. The color of the Oribe glaze changes from a soft moss green at the top to an almost turquoise and all green colors in between as it drips down to the base. Circa 1900-1912. Height is 4.75 inches or 12 cms and the diameter is 4.5 inches or 11.5 cm. Condition is excellent.

Japanese HIRADO Blue & White porcelain fluted dish with a central motif of a dragon surrounded by clouds, all is a soft cobalt blue on a pearly white surface. No chips, crack or restorations, condition is excellent, only one extremely small iron dot (barely visible in the pictures) Diameter is 6.75 inches or 17 cms. Late Meiji, 1895-1912.

Japanese porcelain underglaze porcelain Blue & White TRUMPET VASE with a Hoo bird and peony & other flowers design and a floral design inside the spreading mouth of the vase. Condition is fine, but there is a small "kami-kizu" or "kiln crack" about 1 inch or 2.5 cmm in length near the base. It is hardly noticeable. Circa: Late 17th C. Height is 9 5/8 inches or 24 cm. Purchased @ Christie's in London. Part of an exhibit in the Kyushu Ceramics Museum.

Japanese CHAIRE or (Tea storage container) in porcelain with a dark brown glaze and yellowish highlights the thick glaze ending neatly above the foot with a "swirl" in the base's biscuit! Topped with an ivory cap (and gold foil) all in a faded silk orange and gold bag in a kiriwood box with an inscription and orange seal mark. Height 3.5 inches (9 cms.) Condition is perfect. Circa: 1912-1920.

Japanese VASE in square form with a circular top and butterflies. There are alternating dragons and Phoenix birds & peony flowers on the side panels on an orange background with some gold enamel! There is a four character underglaze mark on the bottom. This vase was probably used for a single flower. Condition is perfect. Height is 4 inches (10 cms.) and width is 3.25 inches or (8.3 cms.) Japanese porcelain CHAIRE (green tea container) with a stag horn lid and silk bag and kiriwood box with two Kangi (letters). This beautiful undamaged Chaire is finely potted with a swirl on the unglazed base (picture #5) and a very subtle brownish colored glaze applied as highlights over a black background overall. Height is 2 15/16 inches (7.5 cms.) Late Edo era, 1890's.
