KOREAN 12th Century Goryeo or Koryo celadon EWER, nicely potted with the desired kingfisher blue glaze on part of the vessel, the other side lacking in color. Purchased from the most reputable dealer in New York City. No chips or cracks or visible breaks. Height is 8.75 inches or 22 cm.

of pear form with long cylindrical neck and carefully painted in medium and darker strokes of underglaze cobalt of a powerful dragon striding through the clouds chasing the flaming pearl! The bottle also applied with a transparent soft glaze of blue cast. There is also a "kiln or artist's mark?" just behind the dragon's head. Korean 11-sided "HONEY POT" or "oja" or "seokganju" are the most uniquely 'Korean' of pots. This particular example (#5 0f 5) os the largest of the other 4 pots. As 4 of the other 5 pots, it comes with it's original lid.There are numerous areas where the glaze ran during the firing process, but these are not unusual nor even unsightly. Korean faceted (10 sided) "Honey" POT with cover from the North-Eastern corner of Korea (near Manchuria) made for kitchen ware in the 18th/19th Century. Korean celadon BOWL with three (3) inlaid chrysanthemums and three (3) inlaid concentric rings in the cavetto. The Chrysanthemum is a symbol of well-being and abundance because of the chrysanthemum flower's many petals. Korean CELADON BOWL with a molded lotus flower design. Although this looks to be damaged in the pictures, it is not. The "rim chip" is glazed over and even though there are some protrusions which are the result of firing inconsistencies in the kiln because of the clay and the slip applied....this is an authentic affordable Korean late 12th century - Koryo celadon BOWL. A fine Korean oversize porcelain BOWL from the Robert Moore Collection and sold at Christie's in NYC, Lot 137, pg. 94 on October 16, 1986. The heavily potted deep bowl on short ring foot, decorated in underglaze blue with two sprays of citrine, the well decorated with an auspicious character, "fuku" or "Good Luck" contained within a double ringed roundrel. A rare Korean octagonal porcelain Blue & White BOTTLE (vase) decorated with an autumn flower. Yi Dynasty, 18th/19th Century. Condition: There are general overall glaze scratches and some rubbing on the ribs in addition to some small hairline glaze cracks about 3/4 of an inch (2 cm) in length both inside and outside the neck rim and there are some "glaze pulls" that occurred during the firing process near the base on 4 of the 8 sides.
