A giant Norwegian ceremonial goblet produced at Nψstetangen Glasvζrk C1770. A capacious flared round funnel bowl engraved with a mirrored monogramme ‘JFH’ within a foliate wreath, and to the reverse a dianthus with polished detail to the flowerhead. A superbly executed and thick multiple spiral airtwist stem; with a shoulder, medial and basal knop; above a large conical foot with rough pontil. A capacious round funnel bowl above a multiple spiral air twist stem with an inverted baluster at the shoulder and a medial angular knop. The glass mounted on a conical foot with rough pontil. A mixed twist wine glass dating to C1770. A bell bowl with solid base engraved with a sprigged swags design with bows at the peaks and fruiting vine within the troughs. The mixed twist stem comprising an opaque white thread around a spiral air rope. Mounted on a conical foot with rough pontil. Lead glass and in perfect condition. Height: Just over 6 ½” Rim: Just over 2 ½” Foot: Just over 2 7/8” Mixed twists; thought more affordable than colour twists in the current market, are a rarer stem form.
