DESCRIPTION:
A charming, pretty pair of dwarf ale glasses or wine flutes with drawn trumpet bowls decorated with swag engraved decorated borders above plain stems (one of which has a small, incidental included tear) with slight swelling basal knops standing on conical folded feet.

DIMENSIONS:
Height: one is 5 inches, the other very slightly taller;
Bowl diameters 2 inches;
Foot diameters 3 inches.

CONDITION:
The right hand glass has an insignificant short and shallow open bubble, barely noticeable in photograph no. 1, on the inside of the bowl, near the bottom. Both are in good, clean condition with appropriate wear for their age.

DESCRIPTION:
A pleasingly handsome dwarf ale glass with a plain conical bowl with a merese above a short capstan stem standing on a plain conical foot with broken pontil mark.

DIMENSIONS:
Height 5 inches;
Bowl diameter 2 inches;
Foot diameter Just over 2 inches.

CONDITION:
There is some light and inconspicuous scratching in the bottom of the bowl due some ancient over-zealous cleaning. Other than that the glass is in fine condition with no evidence of restoration.

A fine, solid dwarf ale glass with a conical bowl with petal moulding to the lower two thirds of the bowl above a merese leading to a short stem standing on a plain conical foot with broken pontil mark.

DIMENSIONS:
Height 5 inches;
Bowl diameter 2 inches;
Foot diameter Just under 3 inches.

CONDITION:
In superb condition with the usual signs of wear to the bowl rim and foot one would expect in a glass of this age.

An elegant example of a mid-Georgian tall ale glass with double series opaque twist stem dating from around 1765. The round funnel bowl is finely engraved with the traditional hops and barley motif. The twist stem comprises of an inner lace twist core surrounded by a seven ply spiral band. The glass is constructed of exceptionally clear lead glass and measures a fraction under 7 inches tall. The bowl measures 2 1/8 inches across and the foot measures 2 7/8.
