For your consideration is this exceptionally fine Egyptian scarab amulet. Dating to the 18th Dynasty, from the reign of King Thutmose III, circa 1479 – 1425 BCE, the piece is meticulously inscribed on the underside with: "Men-Kheper-Re, Amen-Setep-en-Re", which translates as: "Glory to King Thutmose III, Chosen of Amun-Re". Measures: 11.77 mm long X 8.63 mm wide X 5.23 in thickness. Condition: some fine surface polishing due to this piece having been worn as an amulet during daily life of an ancient Egyptian of the 18th Dynasty, but, besides that, it's pristine. A rare and enviable specimen.
In addition to the obvious quality of this piece, it is accompanied by a fantastic provenance... This piece is direct from the world-renowned collection of the late Philip Mitry.
Philip Mitry was a well-known and reputable, antiquities dealer who owned a shop in Cairo which was, at the time, licensed by the Egyptian government. In the early 1950's Mitry sold the shop, which was called the Anglo-American Bookstore and Antiquities Shop. He then moved to the United States, where he began to disperse the collection. As such, much of what has since been dispersed from this famous collection has ended up in major museums the world over, and this collection had amongst it some of the finest scarabs and seals to be found anywhere. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

This is a fantastic piece. This limestone frieze fragment was carved during the reign of Egypt's most notorious king - Akhenaten, or Amenhotep IV, circa 1353 - 1336 BC. The cartouche retains it's original blue and red pigments, as seen. The colours are vibrant! The cartouche reading 3h-n-Itn, which, literally says Akhen-Aten. Reference for this cartouche can be found on pg 142-143 of Jurgen von Beckerath's Handbuch der Agyptischen Konigsnamen, #10, E4. The piece measures 4" tall, 3.75" wide and 1.25" thick. A fantastically rare and collectible piece. Provenance provided to purchaser.

This is a beautiful and colourful specimen of ancient Egyptian Amarna period faience. This piece dates to the Amarna Period in Egyptian history. The religious revolution brought about by Amenhotep IV, Akhenaten, ushered in a wonderful change in jewelry design and manufacture. This ring is a choice example of such. This ring has a wedjat for a bezel, and has an inside diameter of 17.7 mm. It is wearable, but if you do, then take heed that it is a delicate ceramic, and can be broken.
Condition: Repaired from five fragments - all from this one, original ring. This is NOT a Frankenstein restoration with parts from different objects used to create one complete object. This piece has been professionally restored from the original fragments of one ring. Wonderful colour.
Provenance provided to purchaser.

This is a fantastic opportunity to own an AUTHENTIC, sizable, Ancient Egyptian Alabaster vessel. The piece dates to the New Kingdom, circa 1250 BC. A fantastic piece in wonderful condition. There are some ancient chips to the surface, but they don't detract from the overall presentation and buttery texture of this beautiful, banded alabaster vessel. Additionally, there is evidence of some organic material remaining inside. Not sure what it is, but I would guess it's residual of khol or another makeup or even some type of unguent or oil. Measures: 73 mm tall. Provenance provided to purchaser.
