Stunning high Art Nouveau design! A reticulated whiplash form support in each corner upholds the jewel box. Interlacing sweeping vines and Art Nouveau florals are in relief upon the top and all sides. Extraordinary to have survived with it's original key. Made by the famous WMF (Wurttembergische Metalwaren Faberik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. Illustrated page 289 in the firm's well known 1906 catalogue. Marks beneath, Dimensions: 2 3/4" H, 4 1/2" W, 6 3/4" L.

Fine WMF centerpiece depicting a central maiden with outstretched arms. Whiplash handles flank the high Art Nouveau reticulated form. Relief patterns of flowers and vines sweep about the surface. The crystal liner is cut with complimenting florals. Designed by Albert Mayer circa 1900 in Germany in the workshop's 1906 Catalogue page 364. Dimensions: 6 1/8" H, 7" W, 18" L.

The pewter framework with its curving and undulating Art Nouveau form has Vienna Secession Gitterwork elements as well. Irises with undulating vines surround the bottom section while pendant three leaf clovers beneath interlacing Art Nouveau vines adorn the top, all with hand chased detail. Magnificent acid etched cameo glass Baccarat biscuit barrel. The textured background is etched in overlapping leaf patterns. Cameo relief in Peridot green of high style Art Nouveau whiplash vines with a central florette. Silvered mount and cover in a complimenting relief naturalistic Art Nouveau form.
