This 7" x 1" bracelet features 5 curved segments with ornate brasswork and thick screw-mounted royal blue galalith or bakelite panels with applied brass seahorses. It has a box clasp, it is stamped MADE IN FRANCE with a possible (somewhat illegible) registration mark on the underside of the box clasp. I have owned pieces of this design in black or red or cinnabar colour, but never the blue colour before. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. The original colour of this bangle would have been deep pink, but vintage celluloid and bakelite do deepen in colour over the years, so the colour is now a deep pink-brown colour. This bangle measures 3/16" wide and 3/16" thick, and the interior wall to wall measurement is 2-9/16" across. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other the darkening of three pink stones. This scarce vintage 2-1/8" x 2" pot metal pin with a c-clasp features a hand painted eye and black nose. The head of the dog is a dark brown, and appears to have been hand carved - the celluloid has a wood-like appearance. These early paste brooches rarely survive in such great original shape, as they were often worn on coats.
