Usually they are made of keyaki wood but this wood money box is covered in bronze with thick bronze nails. The front has a crest and two japanese characters in relief "HO" and "NO" meaning offerings from the heart. The back has a drawer at the bottom to remove the money. We put a thick piece of glass of the slats on top to make a stunning coffee table. (glass easily removed). H:25" x W:39".
