Byzantine Pottery read Stamp, 6th Century, found in the Holy Land. Pottery stamp is particularly large, suitable for stamping whole loaves. Large Byzantine Pottery Storage Jar, ca. 7th century CE. Bulbous in shape with two loop handles. Scored incisions encircling body. Wide mouth with small chips due to use. Small hole near handle allows pouring of wine. Excellent condition, 13 1/4" high. Found in Israel.
Miniature Byzantine Bronze Tripod Bronze Incense Burner with hexagonal bowl supported by three Lion Heads and claw feet, ca. 6th Century CE. Hung by later suspension chains from three loops and the outside rim dotted with a diamond pattern. Ex: Private German collection. 3" high and in excellent condition. On custom lucite base which stands 18" tall.
