Small temple bell from Shanxi province.
Marked Jiaqing 16th year (1811) 9th month.
Height 17cm - diameter 15cm.
There is no tongue inside nor is it likely it ever had one. Most bells were struck with wood.
Good signs of wear at the top of the bell where it hangs. The three holes on top are not damage but part of the design. You find them on almost any iron bell or singing bowl. They must have some function for spreading or enhancing the sound.
Condition: good (superficial) oxidation a ...click for details

An elegant and large cast iron burner from Shanxi province. Dim.: LxDxH 38x27,5x25,5cm. There's text on three sides. One of it reads Jiajing 4th year (1525).
Other parts of the text panels are a list of family names; people who donated money to make the burner.
The lower part of the burner shows very strong similarity to furniture from the period.
Inside the burner is open without a bottom. Technically it must have been too complicated to cast it in one piece including a bottom. Instead ...click for details

A round cast iron incense burner with mark from Shanxi province. There are two panels with characters that can partially be read.
The mark reads Kangxi 41 years (1701).
There's no doubt the piece is from the period as oxidation is quite strong -especialy inside- and the legs show wear.
The decoration consists mainly of two panels with flowers and beaded lines.
There are some small casting flaws at the rim and some tiny chips missing. Other than that there is no damage or repair. Height 2 ...click for details

A cast iron burner from Shanxi province, 18th or 19th century. No damage and good sound when tapped. It's not standing completely straight on it's legs; one being a bit longer than the others. There's sufficient wear to the legs, rim and the ears to proof it's an original piece. Light to medium oxidation on the outside, stronger oxidation and adhering soil on the inside. There is a mark but it is unclear.
Diameter: 22,5cm Height 25cm.
