An interesting mask from Nuo Theater figuring a the famous deity Erlan. also called "the second ". However you must be aware that this mask is not very old, possibly around 50 years, but obviously it is not handicraft. In some way it is interesting as it indicates that people have maintain carving Nuo theater masks during the Mao Period.

A very old mask from Nuo theater figuring the face of an old man or possibly also a monk face. Note that the mask shows several local repairs and had been completely splitted and rejoined but no part is missing. Very old polychromia. age is around 150 years or more Height 25 cm, Wide 21 cm, the masks is presented on an iron stand.

A small very fine Nuo Mask figuring court lady know as Xiangfen xiojie , very old polychromia brown , red and black with important lack due to age, very nice carving giving a soft attitude, The back side of the mask shows a very nice patina of oxidized old wood. Obvious signs of great age at least 150 y , light wood as usual for a chinese old mask, but still in very good condition. the mask is presented on an iron stand
