A lovely vintage pair of Chinese gilt silver wirework earrings with genuine Chinese jade cabochon stones c1920s-30 . These 1" x 13/16" screw-back earrings are stamped STERLING on the closures, they have gilding over the fine silver wirework and they are in the original silk lined and trimmed box bottom (top missing). They weigh 7.7 grams and they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. An attractive vintage graduated necklace comprising a strand of Chinese serpentine jade beads with a filigree gilt sterling slide catch. This hand knotted 26-1/2" necklace has beads ranging from 9/16" to 3/8"; this c1930s necklace is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a slight bit of looseness to the knotting. A fine quality Chinese carved and coloured bone scrimshaw brooch in an ornate filigree gilt silver setting c1920s-30s. This 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" pin has a safety catch and it is marked MADE IN CHINA SILVER; the scene is of flying birds with flowers and branches. The black and orange of the flowers is mostly intact however the green of the leaves and branches has faded, and this item is in good original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the fading of the green colour and a tiny crack in one extreme corner. A deeply carved, high relief antique Chinese hand carved ivory broach set in a high grade silver (tests as sterling grade or better) setting. It most likely dates to the 18th to early 19th century. The scene shows six figures, one seated away in the building, and the others sitting and standing around one carrying a large covered bowl - just about to partake of a meal or see a treasure revealed. There is a lovely flowering tree in the scene also. It measures 1 9/16" x 1 1/4", and is 3/8" deep. The silver setting is bezel set around the back of the ivory. It is in excellent and original condition,with no damage or repairs (there is a little surface grime, visible in the picture) and it has its original c clasp.
