A mahiogany and ebony Regency "bracket" or Chamber timepiece. The solid mahogany case has an especially mellow patination and unusual brass inlay items, cast and gilt Egypto style feet, and a gilt pineapple finial. The pendulum movement clock includes the fusee device. The white dial has no signature.

A fine cast bronze gilt mantel clock stamped on the back plate "Le Roy et Fils a Paris". Most of the fire gilt is rubbed, but some prefer this more subdued look to the bright and intense gold that the French bronziers were so famed for. The castings are the best!! An American classic, the ogee clock, was first made popular as an inexpensive domestic clock in the 1830s, as an evolutionary growth from the earlier wooden works shelf clocks. This one is by the Forrestville Clock Company, with a label that's tattered but surviving. These 29" high models were the eight day type, running a week between windings. Nice mahogany veneer case. Original elaborate floral reverse painting on glass.

A very fine mid 19th Century inlaid mahogany & carved mahogany Viennese wall clock by "Elsner & Petrovits, in Wien". This features a finely cast gilt brass bezel surrounding an alabaster dial painted with Arabic numerals. The "Six glass" case has satinwood stringing inlay, the finest mahogany, & strikes and repeats "Grande Sonnerie" every 15 minutes on gongs.

A mid 19th century gilt wood and framed Austrian wall clock of the 19th century, 18" in height and 15" long. The porcelain and pressed brass dial has an automation Cupid, who hammers arrows when the clock strikes. The "picture frame" casement has a glazed door opening outward to carved gilt wood and pressed brass decorations, including a lenticle with the swinging pendulum. This is a two day running clock.
