Cherubs are one of the most popular motifs. The cherubs on this bookslide are adorable and the medallions are in excellent condition. Very unusual colors are used on these medallions. The color pallet is grey and white. On the brass under the medallions is the makers name and patent number. The wood is coromandel which is also known as Kings Wood. This beautiful walnut writing slope is English and is dated Circa 1870. When opened it exposes a lovely writing surface, one ink bottle and space for stamps, etc. The writing surface also lifts to expose a bottom section where stationery items can be stored. Burled walnut with an ebonized trim make this piece a lovely addition to any home. There are two crystal inkwells and a drawer
to store pens, pencils, etc. The drawer opens with a crystal knob. The piece was made around circa 1870 and is in excellent condition. It measures

Mounted on black marble, this stunning pair of bronze bookends are quite heavy and measure 7" high and 5" front to back. This is the measurement of the marble.
