THis is a fantastic little bronze ax from the Dong Son culture in ancient Southeast Asia. It is largely intact with a nice malachite patina. There are some sections of the bronze with almost no patina. The socket is still full of soil. This little guy weighs 34 grams and measures about 6.1 cm across the cutting edge. A piece this small is probably a votive piece made for burial only. It is solid and stable and a great deal at this price.
