Definite wear from age & use, areas of enamel are chipped off around the edges & some spots have been painted over white, but this match box still retains its original charm. Marked on the bottom, "Ste Austria, B. Freres" this pieces was made in Austria for the French market. Measures approx 5-1/2 inches across, 3 inches deep & 7 inches to highest point. This beautiful French Enamelware salt box. circa 1930’s, is in great condition for its age. Measuring approximately 5 inches high (to top of wooden lid) & 9-1/2 inches high in the back, it has a wonderful pale blue speckled pattern.
