Ge type ceramics, created by Sung dynasty court's potters in about the middle half of the 12th century, are grayish white ceramics glazed with a close crackle. The Ge type ceramics had become the inspiration for the latter potters ever since. Especially in the 18th and 19th century, the Ge type became so popular that many high quality imitations were produced during this period of time.
