Antique French doll bed. Estimated, pre 1910. Miniature casters on two front legs. French child's blue metal wash stand and French children's books will be listed separately.
This is a unique piece of French pottery. The top flares out beyond the size of the body and one side is indented for pouring. A large ribbed handle is on the opposite side. There is a glaze which covers the piece. It would be a great centerpiece displayed with a large bouquet of lavender, sunflowers or white roses.
Just in time for Easter. Antique bunny, standing, with floppy ears and pink eyes. Purchased in France, and I suspect it is either French or German made.
This meerschaum pipe was purchased in Turkey approximately 35 years ago. It has never been used. The pipe has the form of what appears to be a Turkish man in a turban, with the carving of an ornate feather attachment on one side. The mouth piece has the appearance of amber, but I will assume it is a plastic like material. The case is hinged to open and closes with a fold over clasp.
Le Francais Oral, Heath's Modern Language Series, copyright 1924. Preface in English and the remainder is used to learn the French language. Roosters are included on the cover, opposite corners, of the book. Notes or marks by students are made in parts of the book.
Antique dish with lid, what appears to be in the form of a strawberry. Probably used for strawberry jam or preserves. Purchased in Europe. Estimate that it is made in Germany, pre 1910. Slight hairline crack in bottom of dish.
Antiques child's or baby feeding dish. Deep bowl with antique toys displayed along rim and large rooster in center. Along the side is a teddy bear pulling a toy horse, another teddy bear waving a flag, three little pigs, and gollywog. Ridgway mark on bottom.
Super, tall, aqua glass which could be used as a candle holder; or, the tops are open through to the bottom so they could also be used as a vase. The glass is bubbled to give it both a beachy, nautical look, but also an antique glass appearance. Their grand size would make a great statement or centerpieces for any room.
Wonderful French country baking pot. The lid has the handle on top which consists of the heads and necks of two birds entertwined and both have glass beaded eyes. There is one chip on the underside of the lid. Age is estimated to be 1920 or earlier.
French baskets used for serving baguettes or French bread. Could also be used to hold rolls, croissants, etc; but most designers and decorators use for decor. Older and newer baskets available.
