This unusual small mask figures the deity protector Mgon Po, sometime also named Rato according to the red color. Such kind of mask is used by lama during Cham theater. Note the appearance of second carving in the face representing a spider. The carving is rough but very deep showing long carved teeth to give a frightening aspect.
