Magnificent Japanese mid 19th century blue and white HIRADO Vase with moriage (low-relief) raised ornaments over the top and the lower part of the vase. The Vase is decorated with four sculptural heads of dragons as handles and very fine painting of two eagles on Pine tree branches over the center of the vase. Symbolic blue and white decorations are made over the upper and lower part of the vase. 12 1/4" tall x 9 1/2" wide. It is heavy by weight.

Museum quality Japanese late Edo (first part 19th century) HIRADO Mizuzashi (Water Jar) with a lid, finely decorated with blue under-glazed paintings of landscapes with mountains and trees and four finely sculptured masks on the incised geometric ground. The workmanship is magnificent. A knob on the incised finial is made in a shape of a horse. One side of the Ewer depicts fine hand-painted birds and floral decorations ; the opposite side has blue branches, leaves and flowers. This is a beautiful Japanese signed HIRADO Teapot. It is made with an iron oxidation and a celadon-like enamel with a low relief of Japanese scenes and landscapes with people. There are one signature- seal on the cover and another one on the bottom of the teapot. This teapot is in excellent condition with no losses, damages or chips. It dates 19th century, Japan, and measures 7” tall x 8 ½” wide.

This is a Japanese Edo Period (mid 19th century) Hirado blue and white Vase of an unusual shape. The upper part is decorated with dragons and clouds, and the bottom part is decorated with waves. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, losses or hairlines. The vase stands 9 ¾” tall and it is 7” in Diameter.
