Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) blue and white Hirado Porcelain Pagoda Incense Burner. It has an incense opening on one side, a removable cover in a shape of a roof, and a fine under-glazed painting with symbolic floral decorations over roof and pagoda. The foot has a painting with a landscape, a man, mountain, and a waterfall. The base has three levels and is finely decorated and detailed. Please see pictures. It has no damages. 11 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" D.

Museum quality Japanese Meiji Period 19th century large blue and white Hirado Mizusashi (covered) Jar. It is decorated with two finely painted shi-shi among flower bushes and blossoms. A sculpture of a lizard is as a finial on the lid and is also finely decorated with a butterfly, flower bushes and blossoms. Top and bottom rims have symbolic decorations. 10 1/2" tall x 9 3/4" D.

Japanese Meiji Period pair of magnificent Porcelain Hirado vases with basket-type decorations. These vases are much heavier and differently made than modern ones. They have fine light-blue and light-green decorations with Cherry blossoms and iron oxidation over the bottoms of the vases. There are a few fine glaze imperfections typical for an early kiln. 7" tall x 4 1/2" D each.

Fish and waves have iron oxidation, and blue and white enameling over the bottom of the base as well as eyes of fish. It is almost identical to the one shown on a cover of L.Lawrence book ' Hirado'; it may be even more interesting because it has a ball. It measures 7 3/4 inches long by 5 1/4 inches tall and 4.5 inches deep. It dates 19th century, Meiji, Japan.
