Japanese Meiji Period pair of magnificent Porcelain Hirado vases with basket-type decorations. These vases are much heavier and differently made than modern ones. They have fine light-blue and light-green decorations with Cherry blossoms and iron oxidation over the bottoms of the vases. There are a few fine glaze imperfections typical for an early kiln. 7" tall x 4 1/2" D each.

Japanese late Edo (first part 19th century) one of a kind museum quality Hirado Okimono of Fish over waves. Fish and waves have iron oxidation, and blue and white enameling over the bottom of the base as well as eyes of fish. It is in original excellent condition with some bake cracks over the base. 10 1/4" tall x 8" wide x 5 3/4" deep.

This is a top quality Japanese blue and white HIRADO Okimono of a seated shi-shi with a ball. It is almost identical to the one shown on a cover of L.Lawrence book ' Hirado'; it may be even more interesting because it has a ball. It measures 7 3/4 inches long by 5 1/4 inches tall and 4.5 inches deep. It dates 19th century, Meiji, Japan.

Important Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Hirado tripod covered blue and white finely decorated Bowl of an avoid shape, with iron oxidation on three stylized legs and a handle on a lid. The body of the bowl is finely decorated in traditional Hirado style with a scene of three paradise birds among clouds. The painting is very fine and detailed. The bowl has no damages and no losses. Serious collectors are welcome. 8" tall x 6 3/4" D.

Magnificent Japanese mid 19th century blue and white HIRADO Vase with moriage (low-relief) raised ornaments over the top and the lower part of the vase. The Vase is decorated with four sculptural heads of dragons as handles and very fine painting of two eagles on Pine tree branches over the center of the vase. Symbolic blue and white decorations are made over the upper and lower part of the vase. 12 1/4" tall x 9 1/2" wide. It is heavy by weight.
