A simple and elegant platinum black & white pearl ring set with diamonds c1930s. The pearls measure 7.5mm each. The white pearl is a cream colour, and has an even colour & lustre, and the black pearl ranges between silver-grey and dark grey in colour (see pictures) and the lustre is somewhat more uneven on the black pearl. There are four diamonds on each side measuring approximately 2 pts. each (16 pts in total). The diamonds are of excellent clarity and white colour (VS-SI and G-H in colour) and are modern cut. It is a solid and well constructed ring (weight approximately 7.0 grams) and is stamped 10% IRID PLAT (platinum and 10 per cent iridium). It is in excellent used condition - the only flaw I can see is a scratch on one side of the ring, which can be polished away. It is a size 6. Trackable and insurable shipping starts at $12 (to the US - other spots may vary) and insurance is additional. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.

A lovely hand made studio 14k gold brooch in the design of a dragon. This dragon is a gemmy creature, with a back set with diamonds at the high points, and a pink sapphire eye. He is curved around a lovely piece of jadite, and in his jaws is the largest diamond, from which curling plumes of gold flames or smoke are emanating. The brooch is designed so it may also be worn as a pendant. It weighs 27.1 grams, and the 10 diamonds are a mix of European cut and modern cut measures 1 to 2.5 points each, and they are all old European cut. The large diamond measures 25 points (by gauge in setting) and is a round brilliant cut (VS-1 clarity G colour). All of the diamonds are very clear and with good white colour, no damage or carbon spots. The ruby is an oval cut, approximately 3-4 points. The jadite measures 13mm x 10mm (although the bezel setting is larger, so the stone may be also). The brooch measures 2 1/8" x 2 1/16", and it has a current independent gemmologist's appraisal for $4200 CAD. The only marks (delicately scratched in the back) are Nancy Meek and 14K. Nancy Meek Pocock was a Canadian silversmith and jewelry artisan, and was a well respected founding member and director of the Ontario Metal Arts Guild in the 1940s. She was working in Toronto (after a year studying in Paris) from the 1930s until 1970. Her pieces have a flowing organic style. It is in excellent condition - no damage or repairs. Shipping is registered insured or Fedex, and all of our prices are in $US.

A 1-13/16" x 1-1/2" Victorian rolled gold plated hair / mourning or photo brooch c1860-80. It is set with a lovely pale grey on grey banded agate bevelled front with an insert glass covered window. The window is oval and has the brass pin mounts where it attaches to the agate; the border is a hand engraved gilt brass wire twist. The c-clasp has the original brass pin, and the compartment is covered by a bezel set glass window (no hair or photo remain). This unusual brooch or pin is in excellent condition with no chips, losses, corrosion, repairs or damage other than two stress cracks in the agate (one on each side with one through the stone and the other surface only) and a crack through the window glass (interior fissure - doesn't reach surface). The cracks in no way affect the integrity of the piece and they are very, very minor in appearance. An unusual Victorian beauty! A lovely 18k rose and yellow gold flower pin, with a deep red coral bead and a 6mm genuine cultured pearl. This pin measures 1-3/8" x 1-1/8", and the rose gold leaves are finely sculpted. The coral bead is a bright red and the pearl is of excellent quality with a creamy white colour and excellent lustre (its colour and lustre appears flat in our photo due to the camera flash, but it is a nice quality pearl in real life). The textured leaves under the pearl are a yellow gold with a matte finish. It closes with a safety catch, it weighs 4.0 grams, it has the Italian hallmark of 750 (18K) plus the provincial stamp of FO for Forli-Cesena, with a maker's marks, which looks like a W over an T inside of a V. It is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, losses, corrosion, repairs or damage. Again, please note that the camera flash has washed out the appearance of the pearl - it is actually a very cream-white colour with a fine lustre. Trackable surface shipping starts at $12.50 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. Please note that we do not accept Paypal.
