Beautiful early 19th century embroidered white silk reticule, featuring delicate sprays of flowers. Double sided; twist fringe; crocheted and twist tassels; white silk lining. Silk is foxed and shredded toward the top; embroidery is lovely. Measures 8” not including fringe.
Interesting purse from the first half of the 19th century, netted from fiber, possibly flax. The body of the bag features top and bottom borders framing diamond shape patterns. Fiber-covered buttons on flap; fiber tassels; braided handle. Superb condition; one small hole on the bottom right. Measures 7” to bottom of tassel by 6 1/4”.
Unusual early 19th century purse comprised of woven green and pink silk ribbons. The ribbons are so delicate, it’s amazing that they’re mostly intact; a few near one drawstring opening are split and parts of the header are shattered. Green silk ribbon drawstring. Measures 10” by 7 1/2”.
Gorgeous Georgian mourning ring, featuring a central amethyst surround by seed pearls. 9k reeded band. Inscription on reverse is fading, but the date of death is readable: “ob 24 Feb/1803”. Good condition; has been resized. Ring size 6 1/4.
Beautiful Georgian ring set in 14k gold. The central garnet is flanked by two tiny seed pearls and two foiled clear stones. The shoulders are set with small turquoises. Reeded band. Dirt, patina and disintegration commensurate with age. Ring size 8.
Fabulous all original Georgian flat cut garnet luckenbooth, or witches heart, set in silver. A luckenbooth is a heart-shaped love token named after the Luckenbooths, or locked booths, where they were sold, in the Royal Mile near St. Giles Kirk in Edinburgh. The pins were exchanged by lovers at betrothal and later pinned to the first-born's shawl to protect it from evil spirits. Measures 3/4”.

Beautiful Georgian mourning brooch, in sepia and hair on ivory. Set in low-carat gold, the scene depicts a gentleman weeping at a tomb overhung by a willow, the symbol of mourning. The tomb’s dedication reads: “Weep not for me but for yourself”. The reverse is inscribed “Wm/Jackson/Obt 22 Dec./1787/aet 72”. Very good original condition. Measures 1” by 5/8”.
Wonderful all-original 18th century mourning brooch, in sepia and hair on ivory. Set in 9k gold with a blue enamel border, the scene depicts two women in classical dress mourning at a tomb with an urn; one leans on an anchor, which may indicate that the mourned gent was a seafaring man, or may just be a symbol of hope or death. Wonderful Georgian sentimental ring, featuring a citrine surrounded by seed pearls. The date “1816” is inscribed on the reverse of the head, the inside of the shank is inscribed “presented to E. Williams by her husband.” Reeded 9k gold shank. Lovely, all original, in very good condition. Ring size 7.
Wonderful early 19th century English beaded coin purse, signed by the maker, Sarah Johnson. The body of the bag is done in clear beads. The header is floral, with yellow, pink and blue flowers on one side, and yellow, blue and black flowers on the other. The bottom section features blue flowers on one side and a tiny blue flower on the other, surmounting Sarah’s name in gold beads. Excellent condition; a bead missing here or there. Measures 3 7/8” by 3 1/8”.
