This fine example by Sabino epitomizes the best of Art Deco in its pure form. The concentrically tiered glass waterfall shade rests above its complimenting silvered bronze base. Among the most effectively translated lighting designs by Marius-Ernest Sabino made in his atelier circa 1930. Signed upon shade interior in moulded relief: SABINO 4640 PARIS-DEPOSE. Massive example of Art Glass by the firm of Pallme-Konig & Habel, known as the leading competitor of Loetz in Austria in the early 1900's. Textured green glass with purple iridescent highlights similar to Loetz Papillon Glass. Allover random aubergine color threading which the firm is known for. Minor flaking at bottom edges. A truly spectacular example for Arts & Crafts, Secession or Art Nouveau interior.
