Stunning design from the Carl M. Cohr workshop, Denmark circa 1930's. Tall ten vertical panel form. Complimenting strainer section with it's ten sided edge slips into notches and turns to lock. Strainer is housed beneath a slender pour spout. A moon top with ring of Saturn completes the design. The Cohr workshop originated in 1860 and under the later direction of Carl M. Fine example from the well regarded GAB (Guldsmeds Aktiebolaget) workshop in Stockholm, Sweden. The form with its rounded shoulder and flattened step cap has a relief stylized leaf and circle element. A wafer strainer with semi-circular finial rests within. GAB commissioned well known artists such as Folke Astrom to design cocktail shakers. Circa 1930's. 7 7/8" H.

HOLD 

RARE Sylvia Stave modernist cocktail shaker designed for the C.G. Hallberg workshop in Stockholm circa 1935. The striking spherical form has a complimenting rounded handle and slightly domed cap. In 1937 Stave moved to Paris and was honored with an award at the world exhibition. This unusual form is among the most sought of modernist cocktail shaker designs. Fine example of WMF (Wuttembergische Metalwaren Fabrik) Art Nouveau in the form of a magnificent wine or champagne cooler. Unusual hexagonal form has vigorously interlacing whiplash tendrils with a notched waving rim. Reticulated high Art Nouveau handles flank the sides. This well regarded firm's marks are impressed beneath. Germany circa 1907. Dimensions: 10 3/4" H, 11 3/4" W to Handles.

A rare cocktail shaker in the form of a carved whiskey barrel. Relief carving depicts nine different Dutch scenes of drinkers imbibing in festive colonial merriment. Top unscrews to reveal a pierced side-pour strainer. Impressed marks beneath for the Barbour Silver Plate Co., Connecticut circa 1925. Barbour was a division of the International Silver Co. as were firms that produced the famous Lighthouse and Golf-Bag shakers. Superb example for the collector of figurals.
