A large Colima saucer-shape olla from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC – 300 AD. It is 11” in diameter, 6” high and is decorated with four panels of 24 raised dots. The deep red slip is highly burnished and shows extensive mineral deposits. A professionally restored stress crack is barely visible, else in excellent condition. An elegant form.

A spectacular Jalisco zoomorphic vessel from West Mexico, ca. 200 BC - 350 AD. It is 7-1/2" high, 7-3/4" long and the bowl is 8" in diameter and is most likely intended to depict an armadillo carrying a large bowl on its back. Its nicely detailed head has a playfully expressive face, with protruding tongue. These vessels were important objects in the burial rituals of the elite. A wonderful Nayarit figure from West Mexico, ca. 200 BC – 300 AD. This superb San Sebastian style male is 11-1/2” high and is posed seated on a two-legged stool. He is depicted with one hand held to his mouth in an apparent eating gesture. His coif is delicately incised and flows down the center of his back. He is adorned with the characteristic multiple ear ornaments and retains resist décor and painted clothing on his body. Intact, with good mineral deposits.

Her facial features are superbly detailed and highly expressive, exuding love and happiness. The scene is one I have seen played out many times with my own dogs. The cream slip shows extensive mineral deposits. Perfect.

A rare Aztec zoomorphic tripod bowl from Mexico, ca. 1200 – 1400 AD. The legs are executed in the form of coatimundi heads, which extend an inch beyond the deep, 6-1/2” diameter bowl. The interior of the bowl show signs of extensive usage and calcification. In excellent condition.

An excellent Colima bed figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC – 300 AD. It is 3-5/8” long and depicts a female tied to a funerary pallet. She is adorned with a simple headdress and ear ornaments, her head is resting on a cushion. These anecdotal figures represent women who died in childbirth. In excellent condition, with strong dendrites.
