A nice old pair of children's moccasins, hand made and beaded by an unknown Indian tribe. Probably from the mid west, they are marked size 5, 5 1/2" long.
The leather and beadwork is in fine condition, one moccasin is missing its ties.
Great for a doll collection or to put on a teddy bear!
Beautiful beaded bag in the style of the Plateau groups of the northwestern basin features an elk bounding across a fallen log and a stream rushing through green grassland. The deep saturated colors of the sky, sun and grass are like a painting, this bag will hang like wall art.
All hand sewn beads, no loom work, edged with satin binding tape, backed with blue flannel and lined with flowered calico.
Judging by the condition which is like new, we think this was made in the last 40 years.
Loom beaded necklace with tipi, eagle and wheels of life. Antique Indian beadwork is in mint condition, probably spent its life in a box to hide the "swastikas".
Made as a tourist item in the southwest during the early part of the 20th century, the prime colors of red, white, blue and yellow are bold! The wheels of life were the "happy face" of the period.
