A pair of 19th century oriental ( probably Chinese ) export glit lacquer boxes. They were made from wood, painted with black lacquer and glit with gold powder. Three letter 'JCS' were drawn in the middle of the boxes, which probably was the original order's initial. There are some cracks on the corners and one side of a lid was totally missing. The size of each box is 4.5" by 3.5" by 1.75".
Offered here is a 15th century indonesian glazed white bowl. The former owner bought it from Christie's and the tag is still on the bowl. It is 3 1/4 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. No mark but may date back to 15th century. It is in good condition, without any sort of damage.
