DESCRIPTION: A heavy, handsome pedestal stem wineglass. The large bell shaped bowl is supported by slightly twisted eight sided pedestal/Silesian stem which has diamond topped shoulders all standing on a conical folded foot. DIMENSIONS: The glass stands 6.25 inches tall; the bowl diameter is 2.9 inches and the foot measures 2.8 inches. CONDITION: The glass is in immaculate condition with light age-appropriate wear to the rim and the foot.

DESCRIPTION: this Silesian stem type of glass was made to complement similarly constructed sweetmeat glasses of the time: this aspect is what makes it rare (see caption to enlargement 4). The glass has a flute moulded bucket bowl supported on an eight sided teared Silesian stem with a coiled collar at the base. The conical foot is plain with a broken pontil mark. DIMENSIONS: the glass is 6.75 inches tall, the bowl has a diameter of 2 inches and the foot measures 2.6 inches. CONDITION: the glass is in immaculate condition with light wear to the bearing surface of the foot.
