A truly whimsical, yet functional brooch with a retractable chain in the back to hold any number of items for the well-outfitted lady. These were marketed in the 1940s & 1950s as “The Paly Pin – A California Product.” This one holds a small lipstick, but would work equally well to hold a dance pencil, small pen, perfume bottle, or glasses (if they are not too heavy). The retracting mechanism is made by Ketcham & McDougall of Orange, N.J. The little lamb brooch is quite cute. Excelle ...click for details

This is a Victorian Antique Wooden Treen Vinaigrette. It is made of beautifully carved wood on the top and bottom. The lid unscrews to the perforated inhaler, which also unscrews to unveil the cotton or rag under it that would be soaked the inhalant or smelling salts. Measures about 5/8” tall and 1” diameter. Excellent condition, although there is a crack in the bottom section – typical of old pieces such as this.

This is gorgeous little Figural Perfume Bottle of a Lady of the Court in a Blue Gown. While she is quite French looking with her Marie Antoinette hair and holding a fan, she was made in Germany around the turn of the century (pre-WW1). Marked across the bottom of the back of her dress “Germany” and incised on the bottom “7738”. She stands about 3 1/4” tall and is in excellent condition, although the cork stopper is new.
