Super 19th century 18K gold, enamel and pearl ring, depicting a gentleman, possibly a scholar, holding a sphere or globe. The ring is navette shaped, with a seed pearl border, black enamel shoulders, and a fluted band. Very good condition; a few seed pearls are a bit nicked up. Ring size 7 1/2.

Gorgeous Georgian mourning miniature picture executed in hair featuring a tomb surmounted by two flaming hearts (one in blond, one in brown hair) and a grieving dog, with his paw raised to the tomb. The dog is loyalty; the flaming hearts are love. The bird with a wreath symbolizes the soul and the bond with the decease; the urn signifies sorrow. It’s a lovely scene, probably once set in a frame. Some losses to the tree, the bird and the plaque on the tomb. Measures 2 15/16” in diameter.

Georgian portrait miniature in watercolor on ivory of a gentleman in military dress, identified as Lord Dundonald circa 1789. The gent wears a blue military jacket with gold epaulettes and buttons, and a white waistcoat and jabot. Set in a lacquered wood frame with a gilt metal mount. Good condition; one tiny nick to the background at one cheek; frame a bit bowed, the cornucopia and ring loose (with adjacent crack); some where to mount. Sight size 2 1/4” by 1 3/4”.
