A charming antique Russian wooden tobacco box painted in the traditional Russian art manner with 17century Moscow scenes of beautiful old architecture and the people of Moscow as Boyars with wives, merchants, monks and the members of the Tsar infantry guard Streltsi. The surface of the box was carved in low relief so that the paintings were on a raised surface. The base of the box is signed in the Cyrillic alphabet.

This silver Imperial Presentation hunter cased pocket watch was made in circa 1900 by Pavel Buhre, St. Petersburg. The cover is applied with an Imperial Eagle in blue enamel and the watch has a white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds. Inside engraved in Cyrillic ”Pavel Buhre, Imperial Watchmaker, No. 355571”, also stamped with the number 84, 0,875 and some other marks, but I was not able to make it out. Filigree belt made of silver wire twisted and soldered with excellent precision. Each panel is decorated with a turquoise. Also the belt is stamped in several places, but the stamps are very small therefore I was not able to make it out. A larger stamp I was able to recognize as the number 84. The belt was probably made in the second half of the 19th century. It is 29 inches long and the buckle is 3 inches long. Each panel measures 1 ¼ x 1 inch. The Russian Icon is covered with silver riza and is gold plated. The workmanship is very fine. The riza is not pressed but hand chiseled and engraved. The Icon is made of solid silver on a wooden panel and is stamped with three hallmarks; 1) "A.K" in a rectangular frame 2) the capital letter "M" 3) the mark "84" with some kind of creature beside in a frame (not a head of a women). Russian Cossacks sword Shasqua dated at forte 1903, together with sundry military and arsenal stamps. The brass mounted spiral wooden grip is struck with arsenal marking. The slightly curved fullered blade is pitted. The entire length of the sword is 39 ½ inches in a straight line. Length of the blade is 34¼ inches.
