This is a gorgeous 14k yellow gold and labradorite pin set with a small, full cut diamond by Helga Narsakka for Kaunis Koru, Finland, c. 1982. The pin has a custom made removable finding that slides on the pinstem so it can also be worn as a pendant. The pin measures 1 1/4" x 1" and is in excellent condition. The stone has wonderful labradorescence showing lustrous blue metallic hues when the light catches it - unfortunately this does not show up in the photos. It is fully signed with HN (Helga Narsakka), Finland mark, 585 (i.e. 14k gold), E8 (date mark 1982) and the Kaunis Koru mark.
Kaunis Koru was founded in 1954 and became a leader in modernist jewelry. It was later acquired by Kalevala.

This is a beautiful sterling brooch by Danish silversmith, Hans Hansen (1884 - 1940). This design by Hansen is most commonly found in all sterling - I have never seen one set with bloodstone before. It is signed with the Hans Hansen mark along with 925S, DENMARK. The pin measures about 1 5/8 inch x 1 1/8 inch and is in excellent condition. Hansen pieces are similar in style to Georg Jensen and, in fact, the companies later merged. Jewelry production began in 1906 and was popular in the 1930's.

This is a gorgeous sterling silver and topaz necklace with matching sterling clipback earrings by Borje Rajalin, Finland, c. 1961. Rajalin studied at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki. He owned his own design studio from 1956 and designed for Kalevala Koru. He won a gold medal at the 1960 Milan Triennial and is known for simple designs that accentuate the semiprecious stones he used. The necklace consists of a champagne colored gem quality faceted topaz with an estimated weight of about 53 carats set in sterling silver that hangs from a fine sterling chain. The pendant measures 7/8" x 7/8" x 5/8" and bears marks for 935 silver (higher than sterling), Helsinki, 1961 and maker's mark "BR". The earrings mirror the banding used in the setting for the pendant and they measure 3/4" x 7/16" and are simply marked "916H" (i.e. 935 silver). All pieces are in really excellent condition. See my other items for the matching bracelet.

This bracelet is beautifully crafted and can be worn clasped or unclasped. It has an inside circumference of 6" with clasped and 6 5/8" when unclasped - although it could, of course, be enlarged. It is set with a gem quality faceted topaz the color of champagne with an estimated weight of about 25 carats. The bracelet bears marks for 935 silver (higher than sterling), Helsinki, 1961 and maker's mark "BR". It is in really excellent condition. See my other items for the matching necklace and earrings.

This is a wonderful late 19th century, handcrafted and engraved 830 silver solje pin by Tostrup, Norway, c. 1891. Tostrup was founded in 1832 and is one of the oldest Norwegian silversmith firms. The pin has two long drops each with a Maltese cross and three convex discs. The underside of the discs are gold washed. The pin is in really excellent condition with the original tube hinge and c-clasp. It is marked "830 Tostrup 1891" and measures 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" (the crosses are each 7/8" wide). A similar pin by David Andersen from the same period can be seen on p. 125 of "Collectible Silver Jewelry" by Rezazadeh.
