A beautiful and well made scholar's screen made of blackwood and having the original marble insert. Most of the marble in early pieces have been replaced. The frame for the marble has a key fret design. The base has carvings of two peaches, representing longevity, and the peony for prosperity. Age: Early 19th century.

A beautiful and rare blackwood vanity chest. This is an unique piece and very large and quite heavy. It has all the original brass fittings and many drawers. There are many copies of this piece and this is the only original one I have come by in all the years I have been collecting.

A nice lacquered screen mirror used by Scholars in their work tables. The mirror is surrounded by the usual key fret design while the base is carved with the auspicious melon, peony and peach, representing longevity and prosperity.

A scholar's square waisted huanghuali table with humpbacked stretchers joining legs of square section ending in hoof feet.The table top has been kept in it's original condition still showing the original ink stains made by the scholars who worked on the table. The table is 100% original with no added parts. The top of the table can be removed showing the exact fitting of all the joints.
