The large scrolling iron hat and coat hooks are the stars of this piece. The wood base seems to be blonde painted over withc chippy old siver paint. The camera glare does detract from the appearance. Quite a find for any room of your home! Leave it as is or even remove the paint or even the hooks to be added somewhere else!It hangs on the wall by the original flat metal hangers.Measures 21" X 2 3/4"

Charming toast racks were used in the 1800's always at the table for meals and certainly tea! The left one is expandable and might be German Machine Age. The marks are Ges.gescn and an imprintI can't decipher. The right one is more typical of Victorian racks,with ball feet and ball in handle ring. I haven't found a maker's mark yet. Still highly prized for their original dining accessory, they can also be used for napkins or even on your desk for mail!

I just couldn't resist bringing this incredible hanging holder or shelf for newspapers,magazines, towels, or whatever you might imagine!The deer, oak, and acorn foliage are wonderful examples of pyrography art.(The white lines showing are filament I used to hang it and I forgot to remove it for photo)The top folding shelf seems to have been reattached with screws slightly unlevel.( In fact I feel sure all the screws in the back are not original to this) .Easy to correct,but I think it adds ...click for details
