There is no engraving on it, just some light scratches on front and a good many on the back. However it is engraved with the maker SIGG Switzerland and SIGAL hand hammered. I do know that SIGG is a very reputable pewter co. The plate itself is highly polished ,but the center medal is in high relief. .I have no clue to it's age. The little hanger on the back has removed and marks on the front indicate it was then most likely used as a bread board. A nice daily reminder of glory for someone.
