This item was Wheel Cut by HAWKES for DEVILBISS though unsigned (we have had this same item twice in the past and both were marked HAWKES) Also the Glass was most likely made by STEUBEN GLASS CO. This item has Acid Cut Background which has been Gold Encrusted enameling. There are Three clear glass triangular openings which have Wheel Engraved Flying Birds and Floral. There are extended rectangular sections up the body of the atomizer base which are also outlined in Black enamel. This Perfume Atomizer Base stands 8" tall. There is some minor gold wear near the base and a little perfume residue inside that I did not get completely out. I only soaked it with water as I did not wish to damage the hardware adhesive, but I am sure that the proper cleaning will get the interior crystal clear clean. This item is NOT SICK it is just some darkened residue which will come off. I do not see any marks on this item, though we have had two others in the past and both were Acid Stamp marked HAWKES on the base. These TWO magnificent Art Glass Shafts each measure 10 1/4" tall and measure 3 1/4" across the top opening. The shafts were always Lamp Shafts and not vases. They are hollow and are of several layers of glass. They have in interior layer of opaque white glass, which is overlaid in the Green Glass and the interior is finished with a RICH and Brilliant Gold Favrile Finish. Somewhere, a previous owner of these lamps had decided to very lightly scratch LCT FAVRILE near the very base of one of these shafts. It is actually very hard to see but it is there none the less our image of this is greatly magnified and spot light accentuated . They do not have their original hardware but are absolutely STUNNING and deserve to be recreated into a magnificent PAIR of Lamps. This vase has some very small in the making Blown Glass Bubbles as to be expected for Blown Glass and it also has a very light interior crazing effect to the glass, which is not sick. The applied pedestal foot has a pontil mark underneath. This item measures9 1/4" across and stands 4 3/4" tall. There is an in the making V shaped Anealing Crack (see our image close up) where one of the Pears is attached to the side of the bowl and some very minor roughness to the edge of a leaf. This item is Unsigned as many Steuben items are, and is of Flemish Blue matching those produced under the direction of Frederick Carder at Steuben during the 1920's. This vase has an applied foot with no pontil and a Blown from the top fine ribbed section of the vase. The applied handles/decoration are similar in style to Venetian Glass, but this item is Absolutely American by origins and most likely Steuben. The vase stands 6 1/8" tall and measures 4 1/2" across the top. The top grinding appears to be a slight uneven to us, but it is very possible that this is the way it was produced. The vase has a few very tiny in the making blowing bubbles (common for blown glass) which are not detracting or distracting. This item has No chips or Cracks.
