A sandstone kang stone, used to close the oven's firing gate. Shanxi province, Gaoping or Changzhi county, 18th or 19th century. The frontside is decorated with a stylized cat, the backside with a longevity character and pots. Good wear at the downside from use. Wear and damage at the lower corners, especially at the backside. Dim.: LxDxH 33x12x27cm.

Upper part of a horse tethering pole. Shanxi or Shaanxi province, 19th. C. or possibly 18th. Grey chalkstone, 19x19x135cm. Rare example that is crowned by a monkey. Good signs of age. The two spots where the horse could be fastened have become smooth by the rubbing of the rope.

A stone pole used to tether horses. Shanxi province or possibly Shaanxi, 19th. C. One side is flat and left unfinished ; obviously made to be put in a corner of a courtyard. Smooth patina from intensive use. Dim.: HxWxD 152x16x23cm

Stone incense burner on three legs. The undulating decoration of tendrils and flames was popular during the late Ming period but was used later as well. Correct dating is therefore 16-17th century or later. Some patina from handling on the ears. Wear from use under the feat. One chip has sprung off from the belly. Height is 29cm (rim) / 33,5cm (ear), diameter 21,5cm.

Part of a horse tethering pole carved in lava stone, 19th. C. or before. These stone poles are typical for Shanxi and Shaanxi province and were made to fasten horses at. This one has been cut at 120cm, leaving the rough part that would have been dug into the ground away. There's a hole through one of the sides of the pole, meant to put the rope through. A square beige sandstone stand in the shape of a wooden stool, imitating furniture. Dim.: LxDxH 16,5x16,5x16,5cm. Probably from Shandong or Shanxi province, 18th or 19th century. Condition: signs of wear and (minor) rubbing. Chips missing from edges and corners. One larger piece is missing from one side of the rim.

The frontside is decorated with a lion playing with the pearl, the backside with the moonrabbit in a roundel. Dim.: LxDxH 33,5x11x26cm. Condition: losses to corners from wear. The relief on the front and especially of the roundel on the back is quite undeep. This may have been the reason for someone to put grey paint over it to make it stand out more clearly.
