The size of Bowl: 5 7/16" Dia x 2 11/16" High. Very Shibui Japanese Ki(yellow) Iraho Chawan, Tea Bowl. Bowl is made by Iraho Yaki, which is top of Wabi Sabi favorite tea ceremony ranking ware. It is unusual to see two pincked spots on edge of tea bowl. The bowl has the writing Kanji "Yume" (Dream in Japanese) which was changed by Yuhen(natural firing formation in kiln). It is very fine made with only less than 1/8" thick wall which make the chawan feel lighter weight on hand. The size of Chawan: 5 5/8" Dia x 2 15/16" High. Nice Japanese Ido Chawan. Chawan was made by chocholate brown potter with grey glazing. The chawan was made with highly skill hand made into with movement on the lower area. The galzing give very attractive feeling. The condition of Chawan excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. It sit well. The bowl has very little top rim off. It is marked inside Kodai(foot rim). Dating from 1950-1960's.
