This is a very elegant Yuzen painted and gold thread embroidered (in parts) Tomesode. It's made with 100% silk, and even the lining is all delicate creme colored silk too. It doesn't appear to be that old, I imagine it was worn a few times and came to my hand. Only flaw I saw was a light water mark on the feather pattern part (see the last detail photo) which is not conspicuous when worn. Otherwise, the rest of the kimono's condition is AWESOME. This is a Kimono called Iro-Tomesode. IroTomesode is a little different from regular Kuro Tomesode which is black background. Iro means color, so Irotomesodes are usually made with colorful silk to enhance its beauty while preserving formality for the occasion.
