A lovely bright green silk/cotton fabric vintage house dress or robe c1940s-1950, with the tag made in Japan by Mme. Butterfly. It has fine leaf and flower stitching throughout and traditional Chinese style loop and knot "buttons", made of rolled and sewn fabric. It retains its original tag which lists the size a M (medium) which would probably equate to a current size 12 and the straight cut body of the robe measures 22 1/2" across the waist (front measure taken, complete circumference approximately 45") and the measurement from the collar to bottom hem is 43" in length(front measure taken). The sleeves are 3/4 length in a no shoulder seam style. It is an interesting combination of a classic Chinese style made to suit Western requirements, as it has practical pockets on the front in the robe. It is in very good condition with no losses, repairs or damage other than some very slight lightening/streaking, and it is a little wrinkled. Surface shipping is $12 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.

A wild Art Deco vintage bakelite belt buckle with an applied gilt brass snake on both pieces c1920s. This buckle measures 4-1/4" (both pieces joined) by 2-1/4" wide (largest piece); the bakelite on the large piece is black patinated over apple juice bakelite with a thin central opaque cream coloured layer - there is a little wear to the black finish where the buckle hooks, and it is just barely visible there. The small piece is opaque cream with black and gold patination. The highly detailed snakes have wonderful detail and patina, and this unusual unsigned buckle has the typical fine patina of scratches from wear as would be expected, but is overall in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, corrosion, repairs or damage. Trackable surface shipping starts at $12.50 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. Please note that we do NOT accept Paypal.

A 19th century wool and red flannel Canadian patchwork quilt, hand stitched and made from 19th century dark wool suit cloth and red cotton flannel, produced in the last quarter of the 19th century. Purchased locally in the Niagara region, (Ontario) area from the granddaughter of the quilt's maker, who emigrated to Canada in the 19th century from Europe, this 90" x 76" quilt has panels of men's wool suit cloth, in dark blue, grey, brown and black, pieced with red cotton flannel. It is stitched in a repeating hills stitch (more visible on the back of the quilt in our pictures). Please note that the photo was taken outside on a sunny day, and the colours appear a shade lighter in our photos than the quilt actually is, in real life. It is edged in red cotton flannel and backed with grey cotton flannel. There is a 12 inch long narrow section of suit cloth of the same patterns and vintage along one border of the quilt, done to even up the edge, and it appears to be original to the making of the quilt. This item is in excellent original condition with no fading, stains, holes, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1" separation along the edging on one panel (easily repaired). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $20 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal.
