A lovely early 19th century sterling & paste belt buckle. This 2-7/8" x 1-3/8" buckle features antique hand cut clear paste stones, and the central pinion hinged section swings either way, with three teeth to hold the belt opening and the section that holds the belt end has three shallower teeth to secure the other end of the belt. They are both secured to the centre of the belt but are made so each moves independently of the other. It is a substantial and very well constructed piece, and still retains traces of its original gilding on the back of the buckle. It is not hallmarked, which was fairly common, but has been tested & is guaranteed to be sterling grade silver. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, corrosion, repairs or damage. A few of the paste stones have very minute surface edge abrasions, as may be expected, but none are serious or detract from the appearance of the buckle, and generally require a loupe to see, but without the loupe it appears in astonishingly great condition. A heavy, hand made and engraved Victorian period Dutch sterling large silver belt buckle, fully hallmarked for 1864. This 2-7/8" x 2-1/4" hand made buckle weighs 1.25 ounces, and it has an AT over 64 maker's mark. A truly superb Industrial style vintage Art Deco enamel and gilt brass belt c1920s. This 28-3/4" belt features 1-1/2" x 7/16" gilt brass links with three royal blue and two yellow/orange enamel stripes on each one; each is linked with brass loops and the belt ends in an enamelled hook on one end and a large gilt brass loop at the other. This is a rare high quality piece, and is genuine fired enamel, not painted. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, staining, dents, corrosion, repairs or damage other than some small enamel loss on the hook end (the middle part) and some very slight flakes and losses to six of the links (very slight and tiny, largest loss shown). A sterling silver ladies mesh purse c1900-10. It is in excellent condition - no damage or missing parts, and it snaps shut firmly and evenly. It has not been initialled or engraved. It measures 5 " in width when it is hanging down, & 9" wide when extended. It measures 5 3/4" from top to bottom, not including the chain handle, which measures 14" in straight length. It weighs 220 grams / 7.6 ounces, and is marked Sterling Silber (instead of Sterling silver) inside of the handle, and both the handle and mesh have been tested and are guaranteed to be silver. A great Art Deco vintage colourful sequin belt c1920s. This 37-1/4" belt is 1-1/2" wide and it has metallic rows of green, red, blue, silver and yellow sequins on a black woven fabric backing. It is edged on both sides with tubular shaped amber glass beads, and there is a wavy row of the amber beads on the belt itself. It has the original MADE IN FRANCE tag, two snaps (effective size 34") and this unusual clothing accessory is in excellent condition with no losses, repairs or damage other than a few patches of colour rubbing on some areas of the sequins (barely noticeable).
