Antique real homespun linen doll made with scraps of material in a make-do fashion. She is all original except for her wonderful hand sewn brown silk bonnet that dates to the 1840's that I put on her. She was made without legs but the fabric used for her body is loose from the waist down and acts like a few layers of petticoats. She is 10" long and is circa 1860.

The most adorable baby bonnet in cream embroidered linen with a large bow right on the top. A little pleated ruffle goes all the way around and frames the face. It has long ties and the condition is excellent without any holes or weak spots. The fabric still has a crispy feel to it. I have it modeled by my Kley and Hahn baby that has a head measuring 14 1/2".

A Victorian child's dress c.1880.

The dress is made of fine linen, it is 28 inches long and 11 inches underarm to underarm.

The condition is fair - the drawn thread work is fragile and has torn in places as can be seen in the photos, I think there might have been lace at the edges which has been removed but the stitching has left marks. ...click for details

This splendid pillow slip or sham is of the finest, fluid and drapey linen! However the intricate and finely worked needle lace or reticella is stunning. Then there is the perfectly executed monogram of MT with floral tendrils of embroidery and teeny eyelets on stems. This hand embroidery, though not professional but certainly by a very accomplished young lady, possibly for her trousseau. Most unusual to find a sham of this age with an open end instead of button closure. I believe the 3" hem ...click for details

Her blouse and skirt are sewn on and I think they could be original. She holds flowers in her hands. She is 15" tall and is a very special doll.
