This is an excellent example of antique Japanese Satsuma. The vase was made by the top kinkozan artist. It is in outstanding condition. What is unusual about this vase is the very elaborate bonus signature on the bottom. It was created to decorate over a factory craze line. The vase stands 7 1/2 inches tall and is 6 1/4 inches wide.

There are a variety of motifs on this koro, including an assortment of insects and multiple social scenes. The finial is finely sculpted to for a chrysanthemum flower. The condition is excellent with the exception of some visible gilt wear. It measures 4.25" x 4.75" and dates about 1900.

This is a late Meiji/early Taisho Period Satsuma fish form plate, inspired by the same form which was seen much earlier in Imari. It is beautifully decorated with a lively enameled milfluer design. The mark of Koshida is on the reverse side. It dates about 1915 - 1920 and measures 9.25" x 6". The condition is excellent.

This item sold as-is. This is a finely detailed example of Meizan's early work with a continuous outdoor scene from 19th century Japan. One foot as been reattached and there are a couple of minor hairlines on the interior, but all of the artwork is fully intact. It measures 2.75" x 2.25" and dates about 1885- 1890.

Bizan's work was strongly influenced by the styles and motifs used by Yabu Meizan, which can be seen on this vase. It is decorated with a continuous landscape scene with a rural village and Mt. Fuji in the background. The condition is excellent with almost no wear. The dimensions are 6.5" x 3.25" and it dates about 1900 - 1910.

Decorated with four panels between banded elements, this satsuma vase measures 4 7/8" high and is decorated with varied colored enamels, all of which are enhanced with gilt outlines and details. The base is signed in a three character mark that appears to be of the Kinkozan workshop.
