This is the best example of Chinese Rose Medallion we have ever come across. The vase is very large and the workmanship on this large piece is fantastic. Look close at the images to appreciate the detailing in the robes, enamel colors, birds, insects, flowers, etc. The outer glaze on this old vase is lumpy and this character is easily seen in the images. Small wine bowl, beautifully enamelled in Famille rose colours. Coffee coloured glaze to the exterior, so called Batavia ware, shipped from the Dutch colony in Indonesia, Batavia, today known as Jakarta. Early Qianlong, first half of the 18th century. Condition: a hairline (cf picture). Diameter "2 ½ / 6.6 and height "1 ½ / 4 cm.

A fine and rare Qianlong period porcelain bowl decorated with a rich blue glaze accentuated with gold highlights. Featuring two different scenes of people in a landscape setting, the transparent enamel glazes feel smooth as silk. The bowl was repaired in the 1800's with 3 metal staples and there are 2 rim chips at the break. The repair is excellent, the bowl is solid, and it still retains a nice ring when tapped. Bowl interior has central baluster vessel with bottom open to base and top that threads through cover. Engraved flowers and loose and scrolled brass handles. A useful table piece for preparing and heating food. Chinese hallmark. Excellent condition.
Chinese miniature tea set in European shape, comprising two cups and saucers, tea pot, creamer, sugar and tray. Decorated with figures and auspicious symbols in enamels, underglaze blue and gold.
