Unusually large carved Chinese jade photo frame. Detailed carved light green jade with reticulated foliates, birds and animals upon the tall rectangular form. An oval carved variegated jade medallion applique rests beneath a gently curving top. Extraordinary design and proportion to accomodate a special photograph. Circa 1930. Silver overlay upon cobalt blue glass vase. A large amount of silver covers the form with five floral Secession openwork panels revealing the glass beneath. Five florette medallions further enhance the flaring top. Made in Germany circa 1915-20. Marked 1000/1000 which is pure silver. Dimensions: 4 7/8" H, 4 1/4" W.

A relief four section wave pattern upon this champagne cooler leads to a boldly hammered surface. Opposing scrolling handles embellish the sides. An unusual Art Deco example made by the well regarded WMF (Wurttembergische Metalwaren Fabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1930's. Firm's marks beneath. A rare addition to any collection. Art Deco black glass cocktail shaker with ten vertical panels. The glass overlaid with floral and garland Art Nouveau inspired silver design. Marked sterling twice within the silver design. The strainer section with its incised Art Deco geometric pattern bears a patent number. The Canadian patent is for the closure design by Charles Hammer for the American Metal cap Company. They were acquired by the Anchor Cap and Closure Corp. of Canada in 1929 with workshop ...click for details

Arts & Crafts candlesticks made of iron with a distressed texture finish and raised rivet clusters. Applied brass mountings have raised rivet design as well. An open bowl form cup lies beneath the candle cup with bobeche. Probably made by Groberg. The workshop known for its broad variety of ironwork was founded by Hugo Berg. Germany circa 1910. Dimensions: 7 1/2" H, 5 1/4" W, at base.
