Magnificent acid etched cameo glass Baccarat biscuit barrel. The textured background is etched in overlapping leaf patterns. Cameo relief in Peridot green of high style Art Nouveau whiplash vines with a central florette. Silvered mount and cover in a complimenting relief naturalistic Art Nouveau form. Very fine and unusually large example of Cristallerie de Pantin Cameo Glass. The opalescent gourd form vase is decorated in Art Nouveau Cameo cut pendant florals in "Aigue Marine." This was the workshop's aqua marine line of iridescent glass. Beginning in the 1890's the Atelier produced fine glass under the direction of Stumpf, Touvier, Viollet & Cie. Silvered pewter mounted crystal claret jug. Mount with relief crysanthenum and vines as well as twig finial upon the undulating hinged top. The crystal cut with complimenting crysanthenum foliates. France circa 1900, possibly Christofle. 11" H, 5 1/2" W to handle.
