Fine example of WMF (Wuttembergische Metalwaren Fabrik) Art Nouveau in the form of a magnificent wine or champagne cooler. Unusual hexagonal form has vigorously interlacing whiplash tendrils with a notched waving rim. Reticulated high Art Nouveau handles flank the sides. This well regarded firm's marks are impressed beneath. Germany circa 1907. Dimensions: 10 3/4" H, 11 3/4" W to Handles.

Simply wonderful! Reticulated high Art Nouveau whiplash vines adorn this splendid table or desk bell. A twist of the finial releases a resounding chime. Made by the WMF (Wurttmebergische Metalwaren Fabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1900. Firm's marks beneath. Illustrated in the well known WMF 1906 Catalogue page 335. Large patinated Tiffany bronze inkwell in the zodiac pattern. The hexagonal Arts & Crafts form has signs of the zodiac in relief upon the side and hinged top. Original glass liner rests within. Vienna Secession design large double frame made by the WMF (Wurttembergische Metalwaren Fabrik) workshop in Germany circa 1908. Josef Hoffmann inspired Gitterwerk patterns are placed horizontally on the form while further complimenting reticulated Secession design flanks the sides of the frame. Relief pendant foliates further enhance the fluid form. Sweeping whiplash handles flank the sides while undulating Art Nouveau supports uphold the form. Original metal liner rests within.
