Design elements feature textured body to look like cowhide grain as well as straps simulating stitched leather; top cap with golf ball finial. Made by Derby Silver Plate Company in Meriden, CT. The recipe dial at its top turns to reveal eight Art Deco era cocktail recipes including Side Car, Bronx and Clover Club. This design circa 1935 was offered in a range of colors in bakelite. Very fine quality heavy cut crystal cocktail mixer by the famous Hawkes workshop. Complete with original sterling mixing spoon. The mixer deeply cut into geometric grid and oval patterns is signed beneath as well as upon the sterling mounted pouring ice lip. The larger of two sizes the pattern was made in. New York circa 1930's. 9 1/2" H, 11 1/8" L Spoon.
