| Large WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik) Box originally designed as a humidor. Clearly influenced by Dagobert Peche, founding member of the Wiener Werkstatte along with Josef Hoffmann. Vienna Secession design has vertically segmented panels upon sides. The cover features fluted edging and a carved ivory finial emerges from a stylized foliate mount. Wood lined. Firms marks beneath. Germany circa 1910. Dimensions: 6" W, 9 1/8" L, 4 3/8" H. | |||||||||
